Does the Indian Media forget what Mahatma Gandhi has done to our nation?

This is a moment where Indian's celebrate the 60 long years of freedom. When you start reading a paper or TV, there are surveys and polls to determine who are the ‘60 heroes of nation’ . Among that you can find the names of M. Gandhi along with Shahrukh Khan, Amitab Bachan and other current celebrities. They do not mention anything about people who gave us this 'freedom’. What these new bollywoold stars and sports heroes have done to our nation? All these new heroes always work for their on benefit. How the media can put the names of these 'fake heroes' in a list of men, who made our nation. How can they forget the names of our freedom fighters and other people who have devoted their life for this country?How many TV channels spared their 'prime time' for shows/doentaries regarding the country? The media always wanted to take monitory benefit from these shows. They only want high 'page hit'.
