Why do Churches accept Vampirism, but not Magic?

I am stunned that even Churches are hosting Edward parties. Okay the basic premise is that young unmarried vampires, bite around and get pregnant and everybody wants to be a living dead tool of a vampire?? Harry Potter was fun wizardry, use of a childlike imagination, and I think Mego Mart barley carried it? What is up?
