Moving out of CA and would like to move back to the east coast! Which state or areas would you recommend?

I really loved living in Bucks County, PA. However, I wanted to live in the Allentown area, lots of shopping, TWO drive in theaters, regular movie theaters, good restaurants, close to NYC and Philly.
