Is it ok for a thirteen year old guy to buy underwear?

i am talking like pantyhose. my boyfriend needs those for surf fishing to keep away from jelly fish. he said wetsuits could be helpful too, but they are not strong enough and he said pantyhose are best. do u think the cashiers are gonna have a word with him
